| 1. Muhammad Ali, Chairman |

Mr. Muhammad Ali was appointed by the Federal Government as Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) on December 24, 2010. He has an extensive and diversified corporate and financial markets experience spread over 20 years in Asia, Europe and North America.
An MBA from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Karachi, Mr. Ali is a well-known professional and entrepreneur. He started his career with Citibank and moved on to Smith New Court Securities in London and was responsible for selling Indian, Pakistani, Sri Lankan and Bangladeshi equities to UK and Continental European institutional investors. In 1994, Mr. Ali finalized a joint venture with Indosuez W.I. Carr Securities (Asian brokerage arm of Credit Agricole Indosuez) and established and led Indosuez W. I. Carr Securities, Pakistan for six years. During his tenure as CEO, the company became one of the largest and the best rated brokerage houses in Pakistan, attracting highest level of foreign portfolio investment in the country’s equity markets amongst all market intermediaries. Mr. Ali also led the expansion of W.I. Carr’s business activities to Bangladesh and finalized group’s strategy for Middle East and North African markets. Mr. Ali has also served as Director on the Boards of Karachi Stock Exchange (Guarantee) Limited, Engro Corporation Limited, Dawood Bank Limited, JCR – VIS, etc.

Syed Javed Hassan has 20 years of experience in investment banking and is currently the CEO of ICM. Before joining ICM he was with the IGI Financial Services Group.
Mr. Hassan has spent a majority of his career life in UK and Hong Kong, where he worked in several prestigious organizations such as ING Baring Securities Limited, PricewaterhouseCoopers London, Fox-Pitt Kelton and Scott Wilson Kirkpatrick & Partners London. He moved back to Karachi in 2005 as the CEO of UBL Fund Managers.
He is Masters of Business Administration, London Business School; Masters of Science in Transportation, Imperial College of Science and Technology; and Bachelors in Civil Engineering, Imperial College of Science and Technology.

Mr. Imtiaz Haider is presently working at the SECP as a Commissioner (Securities Market). Before Joining SECP he was working at the ISE as its Managing Director/Chief Executive. He has more than 20 years’ experience in finance, business management, corporate governance, academia and marketing. Mr. Haider has held various management positions in the Financial Sector since 1988. His most recent assignment was as Group Head for Corporate Finance, Compliance and Business Development at AKD Group. Before that he served as Executive Director at the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan and earlier as Head of Corporate Governance at NIT.
Mr. Haider has a Master’s of Business Administration degree from BahauddinZakariya University, Multan and LLB from Karachi University. He also possesses Diploma in Banking from Institute of Bankers of Pakistan and is a member of Institute of Corporate Secretaries of Pakistan.

Mr. AkifSaeed is associated with Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) for the last 8 years. Presently he is heading Strategy, Development and External Relation Department; prior to this he was heading Securities Market Division and Specialized Companies Division.
He has extensive regulatory, operational and business knowledge of various market infrastructure entities and market intermediaries operating in the capital markets. He led the teams which developed framework for Voluntary Pension System, Private Equity and Venture Capital funds, and Real Estate Investment Trusts. Prior to joining Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan he worked with American Express Bank as Manager Corporate Banking for 9 years and Packages Limited for 3 years.
AkifSaeed has done MBA from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland United Kingdom. He also holds Master’s in Economics from Government College Lahore. He was awarded Chevening Scholarship by Foreign and Commonwealth Office, UK and President’s Talent Farming Scholarship in Economics by the University Grants Commission.

| 5. Mohammad Shoaib, CFA Director |

Mohammad Shoaib, CFA is the Chief Executive Officer of Al Meezan Investment Management Limited, the largest Shariah compliant asset management company in Pakistan. He has over 19 years’ experience of managing investment portfolios. He completed his MBA from Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi in 1988 and has taught several courses at IBA including Security Analysis and other finance / accounting courses at IBA.
He has the distinction of completing his CFA charter in 1999. He was the founder and first President of CFA Association of Pakistan. CFAAP is the representative body of CFA charter holders in Pakistan. The CFA Association of Pakistan (CFAAP) was setup by him in Pakistan in the year May 2002 with 40 members. The number of its members has now increased to 150; most of them are CFA charter holders. During last five years, CFAAP has also achieved several milestones. One of them is receiving the “Innovation Award” from CFA Institute in 2006 for the Corporate Excellence Awards Program of CFAAP and “Strategic Planning Award” in 2008.
Mr. Shoaib has recently been elected as Presidents’ Council Representative of (PCR) for Asia Pacific Region by 15 societies in this region. In this capacity, he represents all the CFA Institute societies in Asia Pacific region at Board of Governors’ level. Hence he represents the interests of charter holders in Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Singapore.
Due to his contribution to the mission of CFA Institute, he was listed in 2006 among the top three “MOST INFLUENTIAL” CFA Charter Holders in the world by CFA Magazine. Mr. Shoaib also served in the past as a non-member nominee director of SECP on the Board of Karachi Stock Exchange.

| 6. Nadeem Naqvi, Director |

"Mr. Nadeem Naqvi holds the degrees of M.B.A. in Finance and B.Sc. with honours in Banking and International Finance from The City University CASS Business School in London, United Kingdom. He brings with him a rich work experience of over 28 years in financial services industry operating in diverse environments of Middle East, North America and Europe besides that of Pakistan. Mr. Naqvi carries a proven track record of establishing successful business organizations and turning around mediocre or dormant ventures into vibrant units. His last assignment, before joining Karachi Stock Exchange, was as the Chief Executive Officer of AKD Investment Management Limited. Earlier, he was involved in setting-up a brokerage house for overseas investors. He has also served as Chief Executive Officer of AKD Securities Limited which he was able to transform from a proprietary business into a full-scale investment banking and brokerage firm and in the process, gained company's recognition as the best domestic brokerage house for two consecutive years. Under the banner of AKD, he served as Chairman of the first technology venture capital fund of Pakistan.
Market analysis and research has been the hallmark of Mr. Naqvi's career. He has led an independent investment research firm in USA which was ranked in 2004 by 'Businessweek' as the third best out of 300 independent research firms in North America before which he headed the Merrill Lynch Pakistan research team. He was also the Head of Research of the advisory company of Morgan Stanley Asset Management's Pakistan Investment Fund and prior to that worked at BMA Capital Management Limited as Head of Research.
In Pakistan, Mr. Naqvi has been involved in landmark investment transactions, including the privatization of KotAddu Power Plant, National Refinery and United Bank. His association with the capital markets is also longstanding where he served in committees of Karachi Stock Exchange and was a member of the Capital Markets Committee."

| 7. Shamshad Nabi, Director |

Mr. Shamshad Nabi has spent over 40 years in the financial institutions in Pakistan and overseas. He was educated at the St. Patrick's High School and Karachi Grammar School in Pakistan. After that he proceeded to the United Kingdom from where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant from the England & Wales Institute of Chartered Accountants. He also holds MBA Finance degree from the University of Wales. He has served in senior position at the National Investment Trust Ltd., Board of Industrial Management, The Islamic Development Bank and The Citizens Foundation. Currently he is serving as the Chief Executive Officer at Mutual Funds Association of Pakistan (MUFAP).

Mr. Samir Ahmed Managing Director of NCEL has held various management positions in the Financial Sector since 1983. His most recent assignment was as Chief Executive of IGI Investment Bank. Before that he served as Managing Director of the Lahore Stock Exchange and earlier as Senior Advisor to Dubai Financial Market. Mr. Ahmed has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from University of Chicago and a Master’s degree from London Business School.

| 9. Muhammad Hanif Jakhura, Director |

Mr. Muhammad Hanif Jakhura is the Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) and the Institute of Corporate Secretaries of Pakistan (ICSP). Mr. Jakhura was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of National Clearing Company of Pakistan Ltd. (NCCPL) in January 2002 and served in that position up to September, 2005. He is currently holding the position of Chief Executive Officer of Central Depository Company of Pakistan Limited (CDC) since March 2002.
He has served as the Chairman of the Committee to Review Institutional Arrangement for Financing Stock Brokers and Stock Market Investors and is a member of Margin Financing Committee formed by Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan. He has also served as the Chairman of Asia Pacific Central Depositories Group for the year 2006-07. He is serving as President of Memon Professional Forum (MPF), consisted of Members from various disciplines.

Mr. Lukman is a Fellow Chartered Accountant, Cost & Management Accountant, and Corporate Secretary by qualification. He has been serving the National Clearing Company since 2004. He has more than fourteen years of diversified managerial experience with national and multinational companies including Rhone- Poulenc Rorer Limited, Coca Cola Beverages Pakistan and Central Depository Company of Pakistan Limited. Before joining the Company he was General Manager Finance and Trusteeship operations at Central Depository Company for seven years.
Mr. Lukman has also been serving on different committees, Margin Financing formed by Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan, CFS MK II Committee, he has also represented the company on different national and international forum i.e. ACG, SAFE etc. He has also attended specific training and workshops on capital markets including training organized by US Securities & Exchange Commission in Washington DC.

11. Omer Khalil Malik, Director |

Mr. Omer Khalil has held various management positions in the Financial Sector since 2000. He holds, as the Director of Networth Securities Limited having more than 10 years’ experience of the capital markets. He is also a Director on Board of Directors of the Lahore Stock Exchange (Guarantee) Limited (LSE) and the Central Depository Company of Pakistan Limited. He has also served on various committees including the Audit, Companies Affairs, Information Technology, Trading Affairs, Legal Affairs, and Human Resource etc. at the LSE.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and has studied in different institutions including Cardiff Business School (University of Wales), Institute of Management Sciences and Hailey College (Punjab University).

MianAyyazAfzal is the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Islamabad Stock Exchange (ISE). He has done his Master in Economics from Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts, USA. He has vast experience of capital market as well as real estate market. He has served Central Depository Company as its Head Islamabad Branch during 1996 to 2005. He has served JS Abamco as Vice President and worked as Chief Capital Market Operations in a brokerage house. He has been providing consultancy services for new real estate development projects.

Mr. Zia-ul-Mustafa Awan, FCMA, is elected President of ICMAP for the period 2012-2014.Mr. Zia ul Mustafa Awan served the Institute in various capacities since 2006. He was elected as Honorary Secretary and Chairman of Journal & Publications Committee of ICMAP for the period 2009-2011, Chairman of ICMAP Lahore Branch Council (LBC) for the year 2008, Secretary of LBC for the year 2007 and Member of LBC for the year 2006. During this period, he was also the Chairman of Research & Development Committee LBC 2008 and Chairman CPD Committee of LBC 2007 and LBC 2006.
He has previous working experience with Descon Engineering Limited as a Financial Controller of Mega Infrastructure Projects such as Mangla Dam Raising Project &Mirani Dam Project and in Rustam Group of industries as GM Finance and Administration. He also has an extensive and diversified experience of being an Educator, a Corporate trainer and Management Consultant.
